The LUSO-BRAZILIAN FINANCE NETWORK 

is an informal network of Finance researchers from Brazil and Portugal. The main goal of the Network is to reinforce the existing links between Finance researchers from Brazil and Portugal. Other researchers interested in interacting with these two communities are also welcome.

The Luso-Brazilian Meeting

Since its foundation in 2007, The LUSO-BRAZILIAN FINANCE NETWORK has organized 12 meetings, where its members presented their ongoing research: Fortaleza in 2007, Funchal in 2008, Rio de Janeiro in 2009, Évora in 2010, Natal in 2011, Coimbra in 2012, Búzios in 2013, the Douro Valley in 2014, Óbidos in 2015, Ouro Preto in 2016, Azores in 2017, and Porto de Galinhas in 2018.

Call for Papers

The 13th Luso-Brazilian Finance Meeting will be held at the HotelReal Marina & Spa in Olhão from June 7 (Friday) to June 9, 2019 (Sunday). With a privileged view over the Ria Formosa National Park, and just 15 km away from the city of Faro and its international airport, the Real Marina Hotel & Spa is the ideal location to visit the Algarve leeward. Authors are invited to participate and to submit papers in all areas of Finance: asset pricing, behavioural finance, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, derivatives, emerging markets, financial institutions, finance theory, market microstructure, mathematical finance, international finance, managerial accounting, and related topics.

Meeting Format

The organizing committee will select eight to ten papers to be presented for 45 minutes each, followed by comments by two discussants. Other accepted papers will be presented in short sessions (10 minutes each), without assigned discussants.

Submission

Submissions must be sent electronically to any of the organizers listed below. In the email, please send your paper in PDF format, including the following information: i) Title; ii) Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s); iii) The authors’ addresses, e-mails, telephone numbers, and fax numbers; iv) Which author(s) will attend the meeting. There is no charge to submit to the Meeting.

Deadline

The deadline for submission is March 15th, 2019. The organizing committee will announce the accepted papers by April 1st, 2019.
